Watamu Kenya

Watamu is a quaint town situated north of Mombasa and south of Malindi on the Indian Ocean coastline of Kenya. It is nestled on a small peninsula, sandwiched between the Blue Lagoon and Watamu Bay. The town's primary economic activities are tourism and fishing. Overlooking the ocean, with its gentle white sand and caressed by a soft breeze, Watamu serves as an excellent base for explorations between Malindi and Kilif, regardless of your choice. The Malindi-Watamu Biosphere Reserve is positioned on Kenya's coast, approximately 100 km north of Mombasa. The reserve's notable physical features include rock platforms, cliffs, and sandy beaches. Mida Creek consists of tidal mud flats surrounded by mangrove swamps, and the biosphere reserve area also encompasses coral reefs and sea-grass beds.
